The most important thing is that you love what you are doing, and the second that you are not afraid of where your next idea will lead.

- Charles Eames -

Hi! My name is Nichole Stolin. I'm the woman behind this one-woman show. I was born and raised on a 6,000 acre, 4th generation farm and ranch in Ryder, North Dakota. I grew up hunting gophers, riding horses, and driving semis. I went to college in Billings MT and that's when I knew, I loved Montana.
I've lived in Missoula Montana since Oct 2009 and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I love hiking, floating, and exploring the mountains. When I'm not doing things for Wildly Rooted, you can probably find me photographing a beautiful couple on the nearby mountain tops with my other business, Of The Wolves (@ofthewolves.photo).

Wildly Rooted was started in 2018 as an Instagram account (@wildly.rooted) where I shared my second-hand and thrifted mid-century finds and how I decorated them. People asked for similar items to what I had and since I was already self-employed, but needed a job in my off-season, I decided to start selling small vintage decor items on Etsy. That slowly lead to selling furniture here and there on a separate Instagram account (@wildlyrooted.shop) and even having a small retail space for a few months.

My finds come from all over Montana and the PNW. I've traveled as far as St. Paul MN for furniture. I love that this job requires travel and long road trips. It can be difficult to find items at times but I enjoy the challenge and it's always worth it to see these old treasures find life in someone's home.

Once I started understanding the need for salvaging items from landfills and how much we need to repurpose as much as possible, I've slowly started focusing more on sustainability than just vintage. While we all know things just aren't made like they used to be, you will occasionally find some newer second-hand items up for grabs. Over the next year, you'll see more eco-friendly home items hitting the shopping sections.

Thank you so much for stopping by, checking it out, and supporting this little buisness. If you have any questions, my inbox is always open.
